Minimalist CMS

High Performance Sites

September 7, 2026 by Minimalist CMS

Website performance is often treated as a repair job: launch first, then spend months removing the weight that accumulated along the way. Minimalist CMS begins from the opposite direction.

The public build is the product

A published Minimalist CMS site is ordinary HTML and carefully selected assets. There is no CMS runtime, database connection, hydration step, or editor code waiting behind the page. Browsers can render useful content immediately, search engines can read the same document, and hosts can cache it efficiently.

Images receive responsive variants and intrinsic dimensions. Videos wait for a reader to request them. Custom scripts appear only when the publisher deliberately adds them. Canonical metadata, social previews, RSS, sitemap, robots instructions, and semantic headings are generated as part of the same build.

Real results

Real sites made with the current development build have achieved 100 scores across Lighthouse performance, accessibility, best practices, and SEO, including a complete Agentic Browsing check. Scores will always depend on content, hosting, and optional third-party scripts, but a clean foundation gives every site a meaningful head start. Feel free to try it out for yourself!
