About
Minimalist CMS is an argument for a simpler relationship with the web: publishing tools can be capable without making every website complicated.
The idea
Most small websites need excellent writing tools, flexible presentation, reliable publishing, and strong technical foundations. They do not necessarily need a database request, account system, plugin stack, or large client-side application on every visit.
The principles
- The public web should be fast by default
- The author should own the source and the finished files
- Hidden drafts should never leak into a public build
- Publishing should be explicit, reversible, and portable
- Features should earn their complexity
- Accessibility, search metadata, and responsive behavior belong in the foundation
The result
Minimalist CMS combines a calm native editor with a deterministic static-site builder. It is small enough to understand, broad enough to publish a real site, and designed to leave readers with the content rather than the machinery behind it.
