Features
Minimalist CMS gives independent publishers the useful parts of a modern content system without turning the website into a software project. Everything begins in a native Mac app and ends as ordinary public files.
Writing that stays out of the way
Write pages, posts, homepage copy, and sidebar material in one continuous canvas. Use headings, links, bold and italic text, bullets, numbered lists, find, native undo and redo, keyboard shortcuts, and a focused writing mode. Paste cleanly from other editors and keep drafting privately until a piece is ready.
Images and embeds without the usual weight
Add responsive images from files or the clipboard, choose full-width or original-size presentation, write alt text and captions, round corners, and use featured images for collections and social sharing. Minimalist CMS also supports lightweight YouTube embeds, public X posts, linked images, downloadable PDFs, and simple call-to-action buttons.
A complete site, not just a blog
Shape navigation, dropdown groups, page and post directories, grid or list collections, optional sidebars, a homepage hero, logo sizing, title and body fonts, restrained color choices, social icons, post dates and times, visitor-local time, favicons, RSS, sitemaps, and search-friendly metadata.
Local ownership from first draft to final file
Every site is a folder you control. The public build contains no editor, account system, private draft, database, or required JavaScript framework. You can inspect it, back it up, move it, and publish it wherever static files are welcome.
